i doubt really at all that you'll get C) i think all they'll do is find the alternative, with a very close match, ask you if you want it, if not they'll give you vouchers to the value of the alternative TV. just to save them paying out £2000-£3000

stick to ya guns mate!!! if they cant give you exactly what you had, take the vouchers that add up to your tv.

it guts you when your recent buy is selling for 60% of what you paid, but thats life!!!

so if you get the chance....nail them

There you go, you can have exactly the same TV, or you can buy mine for £2000 as we have the same one (except ours works).

To be fair the cost of technology is always on the decrease, so thier offer is fair.

But you're not getting me - I can't find (in their range) a tv that does all I want (or all that this one did) - If I've got to lose a few (or even one) feature(s) that I actually use then surely it's not a replacement of similair spec to what I want (or had)?

and that one's sold anyway! (It was probably mine - they sold that quick (as a 'second')

I'll pass on the telly you've got - although I'd have a new one again!!

I'm sure me and Comet can come to some arrangement anyway!

What features do you actually need and use? I think the offer is perfectly fair, yes you should get a tv to the same spec as you had, but there is no way they will give you vouchers to the value of the one you brought 18 months ago and why should they, technology moves on, prices drop. Don't be palmed off with any old tv that they've got loads of, you might even be able to get something better if you play them off, loss of some random features that you don't really use may get you a bigger screen for example.

Don't know if it's still the case, but certainly until recently a lot of these companies didn't put half their items on the website - mainly because they want you to go into the store where a salesman can talk you into getting the more expensive model. Find a big store and get thee to it!
