Default Megane Scenic PAS diagnosis req'd

My Scenic PAs gave up today whilst reverse parking, it now judders as I turn the wheel.

I suspect it is the PAS pump at fault at this stage, and unlikely to be anything rack related?

I have purchased a used PAS pump today in readiness - just wondered if there is anything I need to be aware of whilst changing it over as it is run off a belt and i guess that the belt will be under tension.
