I need a car, what do I get next?

As above, my Astra was recently written off and I have recieved the Insurance payout, combined with some cash I already have I've got 5,500 cash, I still have a few bits from the Astra to sell so once I'm completely sorted I'm hoping for a budget of around 8K, I had a modded 1.8 16v SXi , most on here probably know it

Anyway

So far I've looked arounf the local garages, nothing really has caught my apart from the following cars..

Found a '53 plate Vectra C GSi 3.2 V6 for 6,000 in black that had done 40,000 miles with all the toys but by the time I'd called it had already gone

Went into the the nearest dealership to me (A Benfield Renault garage) and spotted a Vectra C Elite model, '04 plate, 25,000 miles, Full Vaux service history, Star silver 2 months tax, 6 month dealer warranty topped up by Renault warranty, Full black leather interior (heated) leccy windows and mirrors, climate control, trip computer, Alloy wheels, ABS, traction control etc etc, however the only downside as it can see is that it has the 1.816v Petrol engine fitted, obviously the 130PS version but still I don't know if I really want to go down that route again, the shear volume of toys nearly had me sold though 8,995 was the price in the window, spoke to the salesman and he went down to 8,495

Next,

Toyota Celica 1.8 16v VVTI '52 plate, alloys, full black leather and sony cd headunit (Premium pack) dark metallic blue, don't have full details on this one yet but my neighbour works for Mill Volvo where the car is situated and she says they've just taken it as a P/X and she could probably sort me out a pretty good deal with the car, they usually don't keep "non-Volvos" on site, but she's says if I was willing to buy she could sort something out, must say I might be tempted, maybe a a TRD bodykit & spoiler, some aftermarket/TRD alloys, suspension upgrade and it could look sorted

I've tried all the local Vaux dealers and they have absolutely bugger all, I quite like the Vectra C SRi's etc especially with the 150ps 1.9 CDTi

I also like the Honda Integra DC2 & DC5 Type R (DC5 is probably out of range)
I've just started looking though and their is still a whole avenue of options to explore, I'm open to peoples views and suggestions so post away,
